College Counseling

As a college-preparatory school, it is St. Paul's goal to direct students to colleges that are appropriate for their individual needs and interests. The Academy offers a fully functional College and Career Center to assist students and their families in the selection, application, and interview process for colleges and universities. Students are able to use the center to research and apply to appropriate schools as well as meet with school representatives visiting the campus.

Each year, the Academy hosts Career Day, wherein students are able to inquire about their specific areas of interest with professionals from a variety of fields. Students also attend college fairs in the Phoenix area and are given the opportunity to speak with hundreds of representatives from nationally renowned colleges and universities.

All students at St. Paul's prepare for college entrance exams and learn testing skills and strategies by taking the PSAT. Students also take SAT- and ACT-preparation classes that are included in the junior/senior curriculum. Subsequently, juniors and seniors sit for both the SAT and ACT examinations. In addition, St. Paul's requires senior students to take a Senior Seminar course. This course teaches basic life skills such as financial management, dormitory choices, and setting boundaries that seniors need as they embark on their college experiences.

All of St. Paul's graduates in the last ten years have achieved college admission. Graduates are enrolled in such colleges and universities as American, Arizona State, Clemson, Concordia, Indiana, Ithaca, Kenyon, Roger Williams, Syracuse, Wittenburg, and the Universities of Arizona, Cincinnati, Denver, and Texas.
